Why you feel stuck or uninspired in your business and how to tap the power of play

How to run your business in a more intuitive, feminine way!
Become A Playpreneur Because Your Business Needs More Play Time
Remember recess? It’s not just for kids.
That glorious time when rules relaxed, creativity soared, and we weren’t trying to optimize anything except maybe who got to be the dragon in the sandbox.
Somewhere between childhood and quarterly reports, we traded play for productivity, imagination for efficiency.
But here’s the thing:
Play isn’t optional...It’s essential!
Especially if you're a heart-led, purpose-driven business owner who wants to do big things without burning out.
How Is Play More Feminine?
When I say that play is more feminine, I’m not talking about gender roles; I’m speaking about feminine energy as a creative, intuitive, and receptive force.
It’s the part of you that flows rather than forces, feels rather than fixes, and follows joy rather than just outcomes.
I came up with a special term that embodies this energy.
I call it being a Playpreneur!
...Because feminine energy is inherently creative.
Whether you're birthing a baby, a book, a business, or a big idea, you’re in your feminine when you’re allowing life to move through you.
Play is often the portal to those breakthroughs.
Why Play Is Serious Business
Before you roll your eyes and think, “Sure, but I’ve got emails to answer and a launch to prep,” hear me out:
- Play isn't frivolous. It's regenerative.
- Play is where innovation is born.
- Play is your nervous system’s love language.
It’s where your best ideas are hiding out, drinking coconut water, and waiting for you to stop overthinking, second-guessing, and making everyone else a priority.
When we allow ourselves to play, unstructured, no-pressure, delight-led play, we actually tap into our deepest wisdom and creativity.
Neuroscience backs this up: play increases dopamine, supports neuroplasticity, and reduces stress.
Translation? You’re not just having fun, you’re building confidence, resilience, and true self-expression.
Being a Playpreneur Means...
- Trusting that joy is productive.
- Making space for curiosity, not just KPIs.
- Ditching the hustle in favor of flow.
- Letting your inner child co-create your calendar.
- Building a business that feels fun and fantastic, not just one that looks good on paper.
When you prioritize play, your energy shifts and so does your work.
You show up with more clarity, more magnetism, more “this-is-so-me” vibes that your people can’t help but be drawn to.
But What If It Feels... Indulgent or Irresponsible?
I hear this all the time: "But I can't just play... I have responsibilities."
Sure you do. We all do.
…But here's the million-dollar question. What if play is a responsibility?
What if it’s the thing that helps you stay sustainable, inspired, and dare I say it, actually enjoy your business?
Play isn’t a detour from the path. Play is the path.
Especially if you're the path-forger type (and I'm sure you are ;-)
How to Start Playing Again (Yes, Even With a Full Inbox)
Here’s the good news: you don’t need glitter markers and jungle gyms (though, no judgment if that’s your thing, it’s def mine). You can start small:
- Take a walking meeting barefoot in the grass.
- Doodle your next business plan with colored pencils.
- Turn your to-do list into a scavenger hunt.
- Host a team Zoom call in costume (my personal favorite)
- Say yes to silliness, humor, and levity, even if it’s just dancing in your kitchen between client calls.
The goal isn’t to be perfect. It’s to feel alive.
Because you, my friend, didn’t start your business to feel depleted and beige.
You started it to feel lit up. To make magic. To create something wildly authentic.
And guess what fuels that?
You guessed it: More Play!
